Volunteering is fun, rewarding and a great opportunity to meet new people, be more involved with your community and make a real difference. You can also develop your existing skills and gain new ones. Volunteering is also a great way of enhancing your CV and we can even provide a reference to a future employer.
Do I need experience?
No—anyone can volunteer for us— anything you don’t know we can teach you and full training and materials will be provided. You will be fully supported by the Fundraising Team.
How much time will I need to give up?
It depends on the opportunity you are volunteering for. Hours are flexible to suit your lifestyle, although we would ask for a regular commitment and the suggested hours are stated in the more detailed role descriptions.
Where will I volunteer?
It depends on the opportunity you are volunteering for, but most work is likely to be done in the Fundraising Office in Whiteley, Fareham. Sometimes you may be able to work from home or from any number of locations across the local area.
Will it cost me anything?
We will reimburse all reasonable out of pocket expenses. All volunteers are asked to do is keep expenses to a minimum and to supply receipts. Our expense procedure will be explained as part of your induction.
